Is it complicated to set up?
No — the app teaches you how to use it. A built-in guide called Ask TutionGuru walks you and your child through every feature step by step, right on the screen, speaking English, Hindi or Telugu. Ask it any question — typed or out loud — and it shows you the way. There is no manual to read and no videos to watch.
Do I have to photograph every page?
No. Photograph what today's class covered — that's it. Most parents do it once, in under a minute, and many chapters are already recognised from the book itself. You can also add a whole chapter at once and skip the daily step entirely.
Which boards and languages do you support?
CBSE, ICSE and state boards, for Classes 1 to 10. Because we work from your child's own textbook rather than a fixed course, the board is whatever your school follows. Learning, quizzes and explanations work in your book's own language, including English, Hindi, Telugu and other Indian languages.
Which subjects does it cover?
Any subject your child has a textbook for — Maths, Science, Social Studies, English, Hindi, Telugu and more. There is no fixed course list: the moment you add a book, that subject exists, in that book's own language. The free trial covers six subjects — a full school timetable.
Will it just give my child the answers?
No — and this is deliberate. Homework help starts with a hint, then a stronger hint, then a guided walk-through that asks your child to do the thinking. The fully worked answer only unlocks after real effort has been put in. The goal is a child who can solve the next question alone, not a finished worksheet.
Is it safe? Are there ads?
No ads, ever, and nothing social — there is no chatting with strangers and no feed. Your child's uploads and progress live in a private space only your family sees. What happens to my child's book?
It stays theirs. Pages your child uploads are used to help your child study — to build their own private study notes for that chapter. We don't sell uploads, and we don't share them with other students.
I have two children — do they share an account?
No — each child gets their own login, their own books and their own progress, so an elder sibling's chapters never mix with a younger one's. You link every child to your one parent account, see each of them separately, and manage each child's plan from your parent dashboard.
What do I need to run it?
Just a browser — an ordinary smartphone is enough. There is nothing to find in an app store: open tutionguru.ai, and add it to the home screen if you want it to open like an app. It works on phones, tablets and laptops.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time, from your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the period you have already paid for ends. The free trial needs no card to start.
