Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 July 2026
Welcome to TutionGuru. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and AI Tution Guru Private Limited (“TutionGuru”, “we”, “us”), a company incorporated in India, and govern your use of our website, apps and services (together, the “Service”). Please read them together with our Privacy Policy. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who can use TutionGuru
TutionGuru is a learning tool for school students. If you are under the age of majority in your country (for example, under 18 in India), you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use of the Service. A parent/guardian who registers a child confirms they have the authority to do so.
You agree to give accurate registration information and to keep it up to date.
2. What TutionGuru does
TutionGuru provides AI-assisted study help — an AI tutor, practice quizzes, homework help, stories, voice learning, progress tracking and related features — designed to work around the student's own school syllabus and uploaded materials. It is a study aid to support learning; it is not a school, an examination body, or a substitute for a qualified teacher.
3. AI-generated content — important
4. Your account and security
You are responsible for keeping your login details private and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@tutionguru.ai if you think your account has been used without permission. Accounts are personal and may not be shared or resold.
5. Content you upload
Some features let a student upload learning materials (for example, textbook pages, worksheets or class notes) so the AI can help with that specific content. By uploading, you confirm that you have the right to use those materials for personal study and that doing so does not break the law or anyone else's rights.
Uploaded materials are used to generate private, paraphrased study notes for that student. We do not sell your uploads or share them with other students, and we retain or delete originals in line with our Privacy Policy and retention settings. Please do not upload anything unlawful, harmful, or that you do not have permission to use.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful, or that infringes others' rights;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorised access to the Service;
- upload harmful code, or content that is abusive, obscene, or violates privacy;
- misuse the AI to generate content that is not for the student's own genuine learning.
7. Subscriptions, payments and cancellation
Some features require a paid plan. Prices, billing cycles and what each plan includes are shown at the point of purchase and may vary by country. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers; by subscribing you also agree to their terms. Unless stated otherwise or required by law, paid amounts are non-refundable for periods already started. You can cancel a renewing plan at any time from your account, and it will not renew for the next period. We may change prices with reasonable notice for future billing periods.
8. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, brand and content we create, belongs to TutionGuru or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for study. You keep ownership of the materials you upload.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service running well but we cannot promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features, and may occasionally suspend the Service for maintenance.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for outcomes based on AI-generated content that you did not independently verify. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law.
11. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are broken or to protect users or the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; parts of these Terms that should survive (such as intellectual property and liability) will continue to apply.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes we will take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law and contact
The Service is offered to users across all States and Union Territories of India. These Terms are governed by the laws of India, including, where applicable, the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Subject to any right you have under Indian consumer-protection law to approach the authorities or courts where you reside, the competent courts in India shall have jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms.
